BID aprueba US$200 millones para elevar eficiencia eléctrica en el país

WASHINGTON, EE.UU.- El Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) aprobó hoy un préstamo de 200 millones de dólares para hacer más eficiente y confiable el sector eléctrico de República Dominicana.

El programa tiene como objetivo reducir los costos de generación, la extensión de la cobertura del subsidio al consumo eléctrico para familias pobres y la mejora gerencial, operativa y financiera de las empresas de distribución eléctrica.
