EEUU retiró a su embajador en Siria debido a amenazas

El embajador estadounidense en Siria, Robert Ford, fue llamado de regreso a Washington como resultado de "amenazas creíbles contra su seguridad personal" en ese país, anunció este lunes el portavoz del departamento de Estado, Mark Toner.

"En este momento, no podemos decir cuándo regresará a Siria", precisó Toner.

"Eso dependerá de nuestra evaluación de la incitación del régimen sirio y de la situación de seguridad en el terreno", añadió
